The realm of Asgard is located about an hour south of St. Louis, Missouri.  We share our home and acreage with our beloved four-legged family members.  They have the run of the place and never let us forget that they are in charge here.  All of our dogs are well socialized with adults, kids, other dogs and even cats.  All puppies come with a written health guarantee against genetic defects.  They will arrive healthy and current on vaccinations and de-wormings.  We will work with you to match your desires and lifestyle with the puppy that is best suited to you.  If for any reason whatsoever, you are unable to keep your dog we will take him or her back rather than have the dog end up in a shelter or on the streets.  We don't stop caring about our puppies after they are sold.

Our theme was derived from the idea that dogs sometimes act as if they think they are people.  Our dogs seemed to think they were better than people, which led to the god and goddess concept.  Since Dachshunds are German, it seemed only natural that they would be German gods and goddesses.  So we decided to name our dogs after deities from Norse mythology.  And since Asgard was the name of the realm where they reigned supreme above mankind, we thought that would be the perfect name for their home.  Frigga was known as the goddess of childbirth and midwivery.  She was said to have been the protector of the household.  She seemed to be my perfect divine counterpart.   I have worked with animals my whole life.  I am an accredited trainer having graduated from Animal Behavior College.  Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to raise dachshunds.  Luckily for me, I was able to make that dream a reality.  I FINALLY love my job and all of my four-legged bosses.  There's no such thing as a bad day in the office anymore.
